Basic Traning Units

Basic Training Unit (BCU) offers B1.1 (Aerospace) and B2 (Avionics) Basic courses approved by PCAA under the umbrella of ANO-147, for regular / self finance trainees. This training provides understanding of basic principles of Aerospace / Avionics systems of an aircraft so that the trainees can acquire the basic knowledge / skills required for the maintenance of an aircraft and its components, leading towards the acquirement of Basic Aircraft Maintenance License (AML). The training consists of theoretical elements (classroom training in PTC), practical elements (workshop training in PTC and practical training at PIA Engineering and Maintenance department). Furthermore, Basic Unit provides two years Maintenance Experience in PIA Engineering & amp; Maintenance Department for fulfilling the requirements of B1.1 and B2 Basic Aircraft Maintenance License (AML) that leads further for acquiring the Aircraft Maintenance License of Type Rating.

Additionally, Basic Training Unit (BCU) offers Aircraft Structure Repair / Sheet Metal Apprenticeship training program for private trainees on self finance basis. The training provides sufficient knowledge to enable a trainee to carry out repair, modification and basic fabrication practices on aircraft materials including both Metallic and Non-Metallic materials such as fiberglass, Carbon fiber, Kevlar and reinforced plastics. Their training also includes aircraft plumbing practices.
